I was born and raised in the Netherlands, and I have been very fortunate to travel the world and live in different foreign countries. My journey through life has taught me that not everyone is granted the same opportunities. In my opinion, giving back is an essential part of life, being able to give back through Beach Bum CARES is a rewarding opportunity that I cherish deeply! My interactions with underprivileged children throughout the Caribbean & Mexico have been some of the most rewarding things I've ever done!

While living in Mexico for 7 years I saw the difference between rich and poor. There, they basically live right next to one another even though their lives are worlds apart. As a member of the Beach Bum Vacation team I now travel the world and through our foundation Beach Bum CARES, I have the opportunity to do something. Giving back is such a blessing, seeing the smiles on those young kids’ faces when we stop by to donate all types of supplies. We bring essentials like educational supplies, medicine, food and clothing, but also take treats like toys and candy! Because I speak Spanish fluently, I am also able to talk and make jokes with kids in countries like Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Giggling with the children is one of the best feelings in the world!

I am truly honored to be part of Beach Bum CARES, I believe it is that with small effort anybody can make a huge difference in someone's life, even if it’s helping one person at a time!
