I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. After High School, I attended NSCC where I obtained my Red Seal Electrical Certificate. I have been fortunate enough to be able to have worked all over Canada during my 28-year career as an IBEW Unionized Electrician. I am a musician as well, throughout the years I have performed for countless of people, both in my hometown and outside of Nova Scotia.
I have always loved to help others. Seeing the smile on someone’s face, especially a child that you have given a helping hand to is contagious. I have 2 children along with 2 stepchildren and I am constantly reminding them of just how fortunate they are and that not all kids in this world have what they have. With the day to day business that we encounter from the time we get up in the morning until the time we close our eyes at night, it is so easy to become complacent and forget this. I don’t want to forget and I don’t want my children to forget!
I am the newest board member of Beach Bum Cares and I could not be prouder to be a part of such a wonderful cause. What an amazing opportunity we all have to truly make a difference in the lives of others. What an awesome example we can set for our own children! It is so important for us all to remember..."one hand reaching out" can make a difference.
